The Four Agreements Lesson Plan

Even better: on this page you can read some of the best lessons I`ve learned from the Four Chords, in a quick and entertaining summary! Let`s start with the first lesson. Perhaps some do not understand that this book is a guide. If we follow the Council of the Four Agreements, we will be able to “break the agreements that come out of fear and exhaust our energy”. I composed my favorite wisdom beyond the Four Accords, because I know that this guide helps us change our lives. He said that “a single agreement is not such a problem, but we have a lot of agreements that make us suffer, that make us fail in life. If you want to live a life of joy and fulfillment, you have to find the courage to break agreements based on fear and that claim your personal power,” he says, “even if a situation appears so personal, even if others insult you directly, it has nothing to do with you. What they say, what they do, and the opinions they give correspond to the agreements they have in their minds.┬áThe book begins by explaining how our attention is captivated and how we grow with so many chords. When we grew up, we learned how we behaved in society, what we believe, what should not believe, what is acceptable, what is unacceptable, what is good, what is bad, what is beautiful and what is ugly, what is right and what is wrong. This is what you use your word correctly. Use this word to share your love.

Use white magic starting with yourself. Tell yourself how wonderful you are, how awesome you are. Tell yourself how much you love yourself. Use that word to break all those minor chords that make you suffer. One of the biggest lessons I learned from Don Miguel was related to power. Through an experience I had with him, I discovered the extraordinary connection he had with Intent. I was impressed. I didn`t quite understand, but I knew it was big. What I started to wonder right away was why he wasn`t doing it anymore. Why not make great acts of power all the time? It could have an incredible impact on people to change the whole dream of their lives. The human mind is like fertile soil where seeds are planted permanently.

The word is like a seed and the human spirit is so fertile! If you become blameless with your word, your mind is no longer fertile ground for words of black magic. Instead, it is fruitful for words that come from love. The third agreement sounds simple, but it`s quite difficult because we`re used to doing the opposite. So take action all the time. It will strengthen your willpower and create a solid foundation for the growth of the new habit. After many repetitions, these new chords will become second nature and you will see the magic of your Word transform you. Maybe that`s why the four chords speak to me. I felt overwhelmed by the gravity of too many deals I made to make people around me happy because I was a “good girl.” Personally, I know what Ruiz says when he writes that language is also an agreement. Every letter, every word in every language is an agreement. It was not our choice to speak English, just as they do not choose your religion or moral values from birth. They were there before you were born.

We never choose the smallest chords. We didn`t even choose our names. […] Practice the four agreements (dailyplanit.wordpress.com) […] […] Don`t take things personally (see the 4 chords) […] [Remembrance] Which of the four chords suits you best if you want to teach well? [/Remembrance] So my work started making deals with myself and eventually adding so many that it was hard to keep them all.
